Elicia Clegg was born in the small town of Spanish Fork Utah (affectionately known as happy-valley). She moved at age four to Ogden Utah; a town riddled with a dark past of opium dens, brothels and business with underground tunnels constructed for criminals’ and prostitutes as a means of escape from police raids.  Not only was Elicia’s environment surrounded in historical intrigue her family has long whispered about a Curse as many have died in strange events. To name but a few: her grandfather was thrown off a building in New York City, her great-grandfather “fell” off the historic  Radisson Hotel, her father was shot in the head, her brother died in a work explosion , her great-uncle had a truck  load of lumber crush him to death, her maternal great-grandfather was killed by a car, a cousin who served two tours in Vietnam died on route home  from his heart bursting, her maternal great-great-grandfather  disappeared without a trace, and her grandmother, a volunteer, was stabbed to death at a State Mental Institute.    Elicia Clegg

Soul Distortion: I received this book free from Elicia at www.wanderingsagepublications.com and through Goodreads First Reads. My first ARC, forgetting the synopsis, I looked at the cover and thought what a great picture for a YA paranormal book. Whoops!!!! I felt the fear building before finishing the first paragraph. The tension continued to mount with the twin sister's nighttime extra-curricular activities, the mysterious life destroying event from their past, deaths that may or may not be murders, and then there are the stories that gram gram told them before she died. Good and evil, can anyone tell which is which?
What a great horror story! The author's wordplay had me feeling the emotions of every character driving me on and not letting me escape. I am forever trapped at this author's mercy.

ACB 4 out 5 stars:
Soul Distortion: I received this novel for free in a give away from good reads. I was intrigued by the cover and spent the next hour in the midst of an intense story that shocked me with every twist and turn that it took. The ending was truly not something I saw coming when I started this novel. Getting sucked into the world with November and December I felt as if I was there watching every move. The flashbacks and the present worked to create a story filled with revenge and suspense.

Way2Kool Design 5 out 5 stars:
Running with Chaos: Amazing, outstanding, out of this world, page turner a must read. Elicia Clegg is quickly becoming one of my top favorite writers. I thought I enjoyed her last book but "Running with Chaos "blew it away. I most defiantly recommend others to read this book. She has an imaginations and creativity not many writers can achieve. Her writing is beyond our realm. And all though its fictional she makes you believe in what she writes. A page after page adventure that you just can't put down no matter how hard you try.  The characters' in this book were intriguing and even with the way they are also act you can't help but like them. Especially chaos who is what is name means, also cocky and arrogant. But in the end has a good reason to be how he is as he hides a secret that is horribly painful. And then Sam who is spunking, outgoing and finds the person she really is. This book has laughter, tragedy, secrets and love in many forms. And to top it off it has a supernatural appeal. In all a brilliant mind wrote a marvelous and exciting book again. I will probably reread this book a few times in my life. And I will surely be waiting for more of her books to read in the future.

History: 5 out 5 stars:
Running with Chaos: Honestly Elicia is one of the most amazing authors of our time. she keeps you captivated and wanting you to read more. not only is Running with chaos a great book so is Castigate my Sin and Vexation

Live to Read: 4 out 5 stars:
Castigate My Sin: This novel will take the reader into the ups and downs of five teenagers...very extreme ups and downs. The author describes the scenes with intricate detail, she holds nothing back. The reader will find that the book's scenes are easy to picture, sometimes in gruesome detail. Much of the book depends on the readers' perception of right and wrong, truths and lies, etc... The reader will feel as if he/she really knows these characters by the time he/she puts this book down. It is hard not to root for the characters while wanting to shake them when they are doing something obviously (perhaps to the reader) wrong.  The ending is a tad surprising...this book is not an obvious read-there are numerous questions to be answered, especially moral ones. The author writes in a very "dark" manner, but that type of writing style fits the novel perfectly. This book is recommended to adult readers.

Butterfly_Readers: 4 out 5 stars:
Castigate My Sin: Elicia Clegg gradually moves the reader into a murder mystery then makes a huge left and takes you on a completely different path. There are so many twists and turns, you will never be bored reading this book.

“Castigate My Sins” is a dark tale about lies and deception. The book follows five troubled teenagers Beth, Michael, Christopher, Leigh and Suzy who are dealing with very complicated issues. The characters are not what they seem, which is very true about most people. Clegg has conjured up well rounded, likeable, relatable and believable characters.

The only issue I had with this book was the point of view that the author chose to tell the story. The story is told through the eyes of the five troubled teens, but the reader also gets insights to what their parents are thinking and feeling. Even though the author delivers important information by the adult characters, I would rather the author just told the story through her main characters. They were so well developed and interesting that the focus should have stayed on them.

The author’s descriptions are so vivid; you could picture the scene perfectly in your head. Warning: for those that do not like a lot of violence, there are a few scenes that are very graphic and disturbing.

I love young adult fiction and was delighted when author Elicia Clegg contacted me for a review.I never expected to go through a roller-coaster of emotions and so many twists and turns in one book. I would recommend this for an adult audience.
